Compensation: $24.04 per hour ($50,000 Annually) or higher DOQ (FLSA Non-Exempt) Full Time w/benefits; employer paid Health, Dental, Vision, Life insurance, & FreshBenies; TMRS participation of 7% with a 2/1 match; paid vacation & sick days; 11 paid holidays. In addition, the department offers incentive pay for specific certifications, education, and longevity.
Hours: 12-hour shifts (84 hours every two weeks) scheduled as needed, nights, weekends, and holidays

General Summary: The City of Lake Worth has a population of approximately 4,600 permanent residents and is in northwestern Tarrant County. Lake Worth is uniquely diverse with a bustling business district along State Highway 199 (Jacksboro Hwy) and many well-established residential areas.
The field operations division consists of uniformed officers working around the clock to suppress crime and promote the safety of the Lake Worth community. Officers are highly capable, diverse and take tremendous pride in serving the Lake Worth community with excellence. The division is organized into four shifts staffed with a patrol supervisor and three officers. Each officer is assigned to one of three beats and the supervisor acts as a roving officer - responding to calls as needed. The division is overseen by the field operations division commander.
Work Environment Highlights: LWPD values its employee’s individuality and unique means of expression. As such, visible tattoos are permissible in uniform along with beards and goatees up to 1/2 inch in length. **Certain restrictions apply and are covered in detail by policy.
