Wide-open spaces and community spirit abound in Columbia, Missouri, which has earned numerous recognitions for its outstanding quality of life. Centrally located in the continental U.S. and between Kansas City and St. Louis along Interstate 70, Columbia offers convenient access to 11 major cities within 500 miles. The city is the largest in Boone County and has a population of 125,181 within its 64 square miles.

Under the direction of the City Manager, the Information Technology Director manages the planning, budgeting, and implementation of technology policies, programs, and services to support the City’s end user needs through four direct reports: Assistant IT Director who oversees the Helpdesk and Infrastructure teams, PMO Manager, Applications IT Manager, and GIS Manager.

This position requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science, business administration, data science, or a closely related field, with a master’s degree in business administration or public administration highly preferred.
